Research on Artificial Intelligence Algorithms for the classification of cultural events considering their sustainability.
Taking into account the importance of the tourism sector in Spain, the sustainability of the events derived from it is a fundamental aspect to achieve a socially responsible and environmentally friendly tourism.
In this context, the SostEvent project focuses on research into Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms for the classification of cultural events according to their sustainability. The project will research and develop methodologies and models with the aim of improving the management of different and varied cultural events, improving the management of the authorisation of each event by the bodies responsible for its security and predicting results related to its sustainability and other aspects, before the event takes place. SostEvent will be a tool to optimise the organisation of cultural events in the calendar of a city that is already an ITD (Intelligent Tourism Destination) or aims to become one.
SostEvent is an intercluster project that builds on the experience of the Santa María la Real Foundation in tourism activities and in the conservation of cultural heritage, the Ávila Foundation, which works in favour of territorial development and innovation, and the Efficient Habitat Cluster in tourism and heritage projects. For their part, the companies UPintelligence and Leolia Solutions, contribute their experience and capabilities in the development of solutions based on Artificial Intelligence and the implementation of 5.0 technologies to tackle different environmental problems and thus contribute to sustainability. The Asturias ICT Cluster, the first Spanish technology cluster integrated by Segittur in the Network of Collaborators of the Smart Tourist Destinations programme, participates as the coordinating AEI.
SostEvent is funded by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, through the 2023 Call for Innovative Business Clusters, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
Ricerca su algoritmi di intelligenza artificiale per la classificazione di eventi culturali in base alla loro sostenibilità.
Considerando l’importanza del settore turistico in Spagna, la sostenibilità degli eventi da esso derivati è un aspetto fondamentale per ottenere un turismo socialmente responsabile e rispettoso dell’ambiente.
In questo contesto, il progetto SostEvent si concentra sulla ricerca di algoritmi di intelligenza artificiale (AI) per la classificazione degli eventi culturali in base alla loro sostenibilità. Il progetto ricercherà e svilupperà metodologie e modelli con l’obiettivo di migliorare la gestione di eventi culturali diversi e variegati, migliorando la gestione dell’autorizzazione di ogni evento da parte degli enti responsabili della sua sicurezza e prevedendo i risultati relativi alla sua sostenibilità e ad altri aspetti, prima che l’evento abbia luogo. SostEvent sarà uno strumento per ottimizzare l’organizzazione di eventi culturali nel calendario di una città che è già una ITD (Intelligent Tourism Destination) o che mira a diventarlo.
SostEvent è un progetto intercluster che si basa sull’esperienza della Fondazione Santa María la Real nelle attività turistiche e nella conservazione del patrimonio culturale, della Fondazione Ávila, che lavora a favore dello sviluppo territoriale e dell’innovazione, e del Cluster Efficient Habitat nei progetti turistici e del patrimonio. Investigación en Algoritmos de Inteligencia Artificial para la clasificación de eventos culturales considerando su sostenibilidad
Teniendo en cuenta la importancia del sector turístico en España, la sostenibilidad de los eventos derivados del mismo constituye un aspecto fundamental para lograr un turismo socialmente responsable y respetuoso con el medio ambiente.
En este contexto, el proyecto SostEvent se centra en la Investigación en algoritmos de Inteligencia Artificial (IA) para la clasificación de eventos culturales en función de su sostenibilidad. El proyecto investigará y desarrollará metodologías y modelos con el objetivo de mejorar la gestión de distintos y variados eventos culturales, mejorar la gestión de la autorización de cada evento por parte de los organismos responsables de su seguridad y predecir resultados relativos a su sostenibilidad y otros aspectos, con anterioridad a que se realice el evento. SostEvent será una herramienta para optimizar la organización de eventos culturales en el calendario de una ciudad que ya sea DTI (Destino Turístico Inteligente) o que tenga como objetivo convertirse en ello.
SostEvent es un proyecto intercluster que se cimienta sobre la experiencia que atesora la Fundación Santa María la Real en actividades turísticas y en la conservación del patrimonio cultural, la Fundación Ávila que trabaja en favor del desarrollo territorial y la innovación y el Clúster Hábitat Eficiente en proyectos de turismo y patrimonio. AlgorithmS4Sustainability (AS4S) investiga y desarrolla metodologías y modelos que servirán para mejorar la experiencia del turista cultural y la gestión y planificación de los gestores de los destinos mediante distintas aproximaciones basadas en el paradigma de la Industria 4.0. Por un lado, a través de la economía del dato y la Inteligencia Artificial. Por otro, mediante la digitalización de la oferta patrimonial adaptada a la demanda.
Como beneficio más relevante, AlgorithmS4Sustainability hará posible que gestores del destino y demás stakeholders del ecosistema turístico patrimonial tengan acceso a información inédita que les permitirá tomar decisiones centradas en las necesidades y motivaciones reales de los turistas, con impacto tanto en la experiencia de los visitantes como en el desarrollo socioeconómico del destino y su conversión hacia destino turístico inteligente y sostenible.

AlgorithmS4Sustainability (AS4S) indaga e sviluppa metodologie e modelli che serviranno a migliorare l’esperienza dei turisti culturali nonché la gestione e la pianificazione da parte dei gestori delle destinazioni attraverso diversi approcci basati sul paradigma dell’Industria 4.0. Da un lato, attraverso la data economy e l’Intelligenza Artificiale. Dall’altro, attraverso la digitalizzazione dell’offerta patrimoniale adattata alla domanda.
Come beneficio più rilevante, AlgorithmS4Sustainability consentirà ai gestori delle destinazioni e ad altri stakeholders dell’ecosistema del turismo del patrimonio di avere accesso a informazioni inedite che consentiranno loro di prendere decisioni incentrate sulle reali esigenze e motivazioni dei turisti, con un impatto sia sull’esperienza del visitatore che nello sviluppo socioeconomico della destinazione con la sua conversione in una destinazione turistica intelligente e sostenibile.
AlgorithmS4Sustainability è un progetto intercluster che si basa sulla profonda conoscenza del patrimonio storico detenuto dalla Fondazione Santa María la Real, il track record del Cluster Habitat Efficiente nei progetti di turismo e patrimonio, insieme al contributo delle società UpIntelligence, Sispyme e Grupo Caip Doc-it, esperti nelle diverse tecnologie necessarie per implementare il progetto e il Cluster ICT delle Asturie, il primo cluster tecnologico spagnolo integrato da Segittur nella Rete di Collaboratori del programma Smart Tourist Destinations.

1) Generare vantaggi competitivi delle aziende che sono membri dei cluster in modo tale da consentire di identificare complementarità e sviluppare proposte congiunte in futuro.
2) Promuovere la creazione di Destinazioni Turistiche Intelligenti.
3) Utilizzare tecnologie per realizzare dimostrazioni pilota che colleghino il mondo fisico e digitale come la realtà aumentata, l’intelligenza artificiale, i sistemi di informazione geografica e gli assistenti virtuali applicati all’industria del turismo asturiano con l’intenzione di poterlo successivamente trasferire in territori con simili caratteristiche.
4) Aumentare la consapevolezza sull’importanza della trasformazione digitale nelle PMI del turismo.

L’obiettivo principale è quello di generare un sistema per il supercalcolo in cloud che ci permetta di offrire ai nostri clienti l’implementazione di Digital Twins per la simulazione di processo. Il progetto prevede investimenti in infrastrutture (server, apparecchiature informatiche, stampante 3D) e l’implementazione di un sistema di gestione delle informazioni in tempo reale.

DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE PREDICTION AND MANAGEMENT OF THE IMPACT OF VISITOR FLOWS IN TOURIST DESTINATIONS. RESEARCH ON ALGORITHMS FOR THE SUSTAINABILITY OF THE TOURISM INDUSTRY
AlgorithmS4Sustainability (AS4S) investigates and develops methodologies and models that will serve to improve the experience of cultural tourists and the management and planning of destination managers through different approaches based on the Industry 4.0 paradigm: on the one hand, through the data economy and Artificial Intelligence, and, on the other hand, through the digitalization of the heritage offer adapted to the demand.
As the most relevant benefit, AlgorithmS4Sustainability will make it possible for destination managers and other stakeholders in the heritage tourism ecosystem to have access to unpublished information that will allow them to make decisions focused on the real needs and motivations of tourists. This will have an impact on both the visitor’s experience and in the socioeconomic development of the destination and its conversion into a smart and sustainable tourist destination.
AlgorithmS4Sustainability is an intercluster project that is based on the deep knowledge of the historical heritage held by the Santa María la Real Foundation, the track record of the Efficient Habitat Cluster in tourism and heritage projects, together with the contribution of the companies UPintelligence, Sispyme and Grupo Caip Doc-it, experts in the different technologies necessary to implement the project and the ICT Cluster of Asturias, the first Spanish technological cluster integrated by Segittur in the Network of Collaborators of the Smart Tourist Destinations program.
AlgorithmS4Sustainability is financed by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, through the Call for Innovative Business Groups for the year 2022b, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
